Women on Board

The initiative «Women on Board» has been founded with Melinda Henschke at our 10th year company anniversary in 2014, in order to strengthen sustainably the proportion of competent and dedicated woman on boards. Amongst others, we succeed in that through the cooperation with the Swiss Institutes of Directors, the conscious and systematic search of woman within every single search mandate, and through the active debate with this topic within studies and in the media. 2015 we have been project partner for a publication of the Woman on Boards – 400 proposals for Swiss corporations. (Schweizerischer Arbeitgeberverband: «Frauen im Verwaltungsrat – 400 Vorschläge für Schweizer Gesellschaften»)
Further, in 2017 and in cooperation with the Sonntagszeitung, we have launched an analysis of the women in the boards of the companies of the 130 biggest employers of Switzerland

Swiss Institute of Directors (SIoD)

The «Swiss Institute of Directors» is the biggest network of board members is Switzerland. Its members have attended a practical education of the topics and framework of the board activities at the Swiss Board School – the leading institution for further education in board management in relation to the University St. Gallen. As a long-standing member of the advisory committee of the Female Board Pool, that has been integrated into the «Swiss Institute of Directors» in 2017, Dr. Doris Aebi, today is contact person for the integrated board search and in this way, supports companies in finding suitable board members within the Swiss Board Pool. Further, Dr. Doris Aebi is also speaker of the topics of the board search at the educations of the Swiss Board School at the International Center for Corporate Governance.

Women´s Business Supper

The «Women´s Business Supper» is a yearly evening event, launched in 2016, that evolved out of the «Women’s Business Conference» which has been held successfully for 10 years, organized by the Institut für Finanzdienstleistungen (IFZ) der Hochschule Luzern though Prof. Dr. Sita Mazumder and now followed up by Dr. Anina Hille. We, aebi+Kuehni AG, are from the beginning, project partner and support this vessel of exchange, through which women shall be motivated for their professional growth.
